What ClearTray collects — and what it does not.

ClearTray is meant to sit on every Windows PC without becoming another product that harvests you. It is a Windows tray app and an optional browser extension. There are no accounts, no ads, and no trackers on this site or in the app. We do not use Google Analytics. We do not sell your data.

Download counts for ClearTray.exe and the Shield zip (from the buttons on this site) are stored privately in Cloudflare KV so we can see how many people fetched a copy. Those numbers are not shown on this page or anywhere public.

Time Machine-style snapshots of your personal folders stay on the SSD you pick, under ClearTray-TimeMachine. An optional whole-disk clone, if you start one yourself, is written by Windows Backup to WindowsImageBackup on that drive. ClearTray does not upload your files.

The leftover-key cleanup only deletes invalid uninstall entries and broken startup paths on this PC, after you confirm. The memory line in the status window is a readout of used and available RAM. It does not send memory data anywhere, and it does not “boost” RAM.
